This is the 21st year the Rockford Historical Society has judged entries to be considered for advancement to Northern Illinois Regional History Fair. Students from the All Saints Catholic Academy will present approximately 30 projects at Veterans Memorial Hall Saturday, January 18 2020. The goal of the Northern Illinois Regional History Fair is to provide young people with a high-quality, educational experience - whether or not they win a prize.

Why: The History Fair plays a crucial role that encourages the study of history among our youth and is one of this state's truly unique educational events. The History Fair is an educational opportunity for students to share their research with each other and the community. It is also an excellent teaching tool to meet Illinois Learning Standards.

Each year students in grades 6-12 from the Northern Illinois region participate in the Fair by writing research papers, designing websites, creating projects, and performing original skits that deal with topics of Illinois history.
